Officer Job Descriptions

Chair of the Caucus

  • Preside at all meetings
  • Administer and coordinate caucus activities
  • Appoint representative of caucus on state steering and central committees
  • Appoint ad-hoc committees
  • Serve as ex-officio member of all committees

Executive Vice-Chair

  • Preside at meetings in the Chair’s absence
  • Serve as interim Chair if office of Chair is vacated

Vice-Chair for Outreach and Membership

  • Preside at meetings in the absence of the Chair and Executive Vice-Chair
  • Chair the Outreach and Membership Committee
  • Maintain caucus membership list
  • Communicate with congressional district committees
  • Work toward membership growth
  • Identify and develop constituency groups and encourage participation in the Party

Vice-Chair for Technology and Communication

  • Chair the Technology and Communications Committee
  • Develop and maintain an Internet presence and electronic communications
  • Utilize Voter Activation Network (VAN) to further the goals of the caucus

Vice-Chair for Development

  • Chair the Development Committee
  • Raise funds for the caucus

Vice-Chair for Elections

  • Chair Elections Committee
  • Facilitate voter registration, education, and get out the vote efforts

Secretary

  • Record and publish minutes of all meetings
  • Conduct correspondence as requested by the Chair or Board.
  • Create and Chair the Newsletter Committee as needed

Treasurer

  • Responsible for receipt, recording, deposit of caucus income and payment of caucus expenses
  • Prepare annual budget, treasurers reports, dues notices, and financial records for audit
  • Create and Chair Finance Committee as needed
