Chance Trevillian

My name is Chance Trevillian, and I’m the democratic candidate for VA’s 16th House of Delegates district. I spent the first few years of my adult life as a conservative republican, but for a variety of reasons, I’m now a progressive democrat. I used to believe government best served the people when it was limited, but I now believe the nine most uplifting words in the English language are “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.” Because I’ve come to learn that government can be a force for good when it’s employed with people of good character that genuinely want to help others. And that’s me! A receptionist at my local community college who due to economic struggles in his twenties had to take a break from a college degree in elementary education. I also have a disability known as Charcot Marie Tooth which affects my mobility, so I primarily use a wheelchair. I’m running since I want to show others that anyone can run and make a positive impact in their community and the state!
