Mark Downey

Dr. Mark Downey is a commonsense and children-first political outsider running for the Virginia House of Delegates to provide the care our community deserves in Richmond.

As a lifelong pediatrician in the James City and York County communities, Dr. Downey devotes his life to healing and service. Mark grew up in Queens Lake, where his parents moved when he was two years old after his father retired from the United States Air Force. After graduating valedictorian from Bruton High School and the VCU School of Medicine, Mark joined his current practice at CHKD in the Williamsburg area.

For 25 years, Dr. Downey has strived to provide the best possible care to his patients from all walks of life. Now, he is running for the House of Delegates so every child in Virginia can live a healthier, happier, and more successful life.
