Donna Littlepage

Virginia House of Delegates

40th District

Donna Littlepage recently retired after a thirty-five-year career with Carilion Clinic. She was instrumental in the creation of the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and was its founding CFO. Over the years at Carilion, she had financial management responsibility for virtually every area of the healthcare system and served as a Vice President of Finance for over ten years. She worked in financial roles for over twenty years. During this time, her responsibilities included developing and managing the $1.5B budget for Carilion Clinic. She understands complex budgets and has the discernment needed to make good decisions around what gets included in them. She also worked closely with the Medicaid payers including leading Carilion’s own Medicaid insurance plan.

In the final ten years of her career, she worked in the arena of population health to address patients’ health needs to allow them to live fuller, higher quality lives despite their health conditions. She has a very in-depth knowledge of Medicaid, its impact on people and will be able to step in on day one to develop the path forward to address the cuts coming from Washington. She has always been committed to her community and has served and currently serves on numerous Boards of Directors for non-profits. Her latest project has been to develop a residential substance use treatment center for pregnant and parenting women where she is the pro bono Executive Director as well as Board President. Her work with these Boards in the human service field gives her significant insight into the services needed by those less fortunate.
