Are you as mortified as I am about what happened in Helsinki? I am sure the answer is YES! Please get your irritated self out and volunteer for one of our Congressional candidates this weekend. It is very therapeutic!

Instead of hand wringing and bemoaning the state of affairs you will be doing something solid and tangible to bring about change. We have a fantastic opportunity to turn Congressional seats here in Virginia, but we have to put in the work.

The LGBT Democrats of Virginia are canvassing now to elect Congressional Democrats here in Virginia. Last weekend alone our team knocked on 211 doors in CD 10 for Jennifer Wexton. We need your help to keep knocking until the election!

This weekend and every weekend from now until Election Day we are canvassing and calling. Join us!!

Please don’t say “I don’t like canvassing and calling!” I didn’t like it either until I broke out of my comfort zone in 2007 and started knocking and calling for Barack Obama. And “Yes we did!”

So I am asking everyone to dig down and get involved in your local Congressional races. Let’s win big here in Virginia!!!
