General Membership Meeting: Topic – Domestic and Sexual Violence in the LGBTQIA+ Community

Join us Thursday, June 17th at 6:30 pm for an important meeting. All are welcome! We will have a brief overview of the primary, endorsements going forward, and volunteer opportunities in the future, but the majority of our meeting will be a presentation by Carmina Galvez, Education Specialist at Thrive Virginia.  Carmina will discuss domestic and sexual violence within the LGBTQIA+ community. She will cover the basics of DV/SV and how it specifically effects the LGBTQIA+ community. The training will go over statistics/rates of violence, power & control dynamics and how we as a community can help LGBTQIA+ survivors who have experienced violence.
