LGBT Caucus Elects New Chairman!

The Elections Committee of the LGBT Caucus of the Democratic Party of Virginia is pleased to announce the election of Terry Mansberger as the new Chairman of the LGBT Caucus. This was a special election to fill the vacancy being left at the resignation of Charley Conrad, who has served as Chairman of the LGBT Caucus since being elected last June.

Balloting in this special election was cancelled due to Terry Mansberger being the only candidate to duly file with the Elections Committee by March 4th, and as such was declared elected by the Elections Committee. This is in accordance with precedent set in the Party Plan of the Democratic Party of Virginia.

We wish to extend our gratitude for the service of Charley Conrad, who has expressed his desire to work on grassroots organizing for the LGBT caucus. We also congratulate Terry Mansberger on his election as Chairman, who brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the mission of the LGBT Caucus. We have every confidence that, under Terry Mansberger’s leadership, the LGBT Caucus will continue its success as the voice of LGBT people within the Democratic Party of Virginia.
