LGBT+ Democrats of Virginia, the LGBT Caucus of the Democratic Party of Virginia, joined the National Federation of Stonewall Democrats. The caucus was accepted as a member of the national organization on Monday, March 24th. During the initial iteration of National Stonewall Democrats, Virginia was represented by the Virginia Partisans Gay and Lesbian Democratic Club, the precursor to the caucus. In 2013, Virginia Partisans and the caucus merged to form what is now LGBT+ Democrats of Virginia.

Building a Firewall Around Virginia in 2025

Our first big test will be with elections for Governor, Lt. Governor, and Attorney General, as well as all of the House of Delegates, in November 2025. We absolutely must regain these three statewide offices, and build our lead in the House of Delegates. This will help us hold a firewall around Virginia. We cannot express just how important that is for our LGBT+ citizens, and frankly all our citizens in the Commonwealth.
